A lavender matcha latte that delivers smooth, sustained energy with a gentle floral touch.

What you’ll need:

For the Lavender Matcha Latte:

  • 3g matcha (for this recipe we used our Shizuoka Ceremonial)
  • 40ml warm water (max 75°C)
  • 200ml milk of choice (oat or almond work beautifully)
  • 15ml lavender syrup* (adjust to taste)

*Lavender syrup can be homemade by gently heating sugar, water, and culinary lavender, then straining.

Decoration (optional):

  • Dried (culinary) lavender buds
  • Fresh lavender sprig
  • Light milk foam or matcha dusting

How to make it:

Whisk the matcha
Sift 3g of matcha into a matcha bowl (we used our Shizuoka Ceremonial). Add warm water and whisk with a chasen until smooth and lightly frothy.

Flavour the milk
Add your preferred milk with ice in the glass and stir in the lavender syrup until delicately floral.

Bring it together
Gently add the whisked matcha on top of the ice* for a beautiful green contrast.

*Tip: If you pour slowly on top of the ice, you will create those beautiful layers of milk and matcha on top.

Garnish
Finish with a sprinkle of dried lavender, a little foam, or a dusting of matcha.

Sip and unwind
Take a moment, breathe in that floral aroma, and enjoy your calm and creamy lavender matcha latte.

A little tip:
Lavender is powerful, so start light and add more only if needed. This latte is not meant to taste like lavender soap.
